Educational program with tasting “Flaming honey”, Anykščiai district

Educational program: Production of honeycomb candles, weaving and decoration of a wreath from natural materials. Introduction to the taste properties of honey and other bee products.
Folk artists and beekeepers will get You acquainted with the treasures of national heritage. While singing old folk songs, communicating, enjoying herbal tea, honey, natural Lithuanian cheese, apple cheese, homemade bread, you will learn to weave a wreath from wicker, decorate it with natural materials for your desired occasion (Advent, Saint John’s Eve or home decor). During the workshop you will get acquainted with one of the oldest crafts – candle production. Surrounded by the fragrant beeswax and honey aroma of summer, you will learn about its benefits for health and the environment.
During the educational program you will try the dry candle making technique – from honeycomb, you will participate in the process of candle production and its decoration with natural materials. You will be surrounded by the true spirit of nature, you will relax your mind and immerse yourself in the world of art, nature.
The tour during the warm season takes place in an authentic homestead, surrounded by meadows and forests. After the educations, folk artists will show the surroundings, expositions of wicker and ancient utensils, and tell legends.
During the cold season, the program is run at the Anykščiai Art Incubator.
