Degustation „Culinary heritage of Lietuvininkai”, in Šilutės Hugo Sheu museum

During the session, unique fragments of the Klaipėda region’s household and everyday life are presented, giving the main attention to the culinary heritage of Lithuania Minor. The participants are also treated to the meals of the culinary heritage of the Lietuvininkai region such as palaunage (late lunch) regale, which includes Šišioniškiai kafija (coffee), tija (tea), a cake or puceliai (donuts).
The session takes place in the East Prussian manor complex, in the ethnographic exposition collected by the landowner Hugo Sheu himself. Therefore, this gives us a great opportunity to present authentic household items of the Klaipėda region and to get acquainted with the purpose and history of each of them.
